1. What is EarnApp?#
EarnApp is a passive income platform launched by Bright Data (formerly Luminati). Users install their program and share idle internet bandwidth to earn some income in USD. It is suitable for home broadband users with spare upload capacity. The target audience includes:
NAS / old computer users who keep their devices on 24/7
Users with stable home broadband and IP addresses that do not change frequently
Tech enthusiasts looking for a bit of extra income
2. My Real Experience#
I started using EarnApp in May 2025. The platform supports devices like Linux, Windows, and Raspberry Pi. I have it deployed on a Debian NAS that runs 24/7.
Earnings situation
Daily earnings: about $0.1 ~ $0.5 (depending on traffic demand)
Payment methods: supports PayPal or Amazon gift card withdrawals, with a minimum withdrawal threshold of $2.5
✅ Tip: You can bind a referral link to earn more, approximately 10% for each person who registers and activates.
3. Advantages of EarnApp#
✅ Completely passive: one-click installation, no daily operations required
✅ Supports platforms like Linux and Raspberry Pi, suitable for geek deployment
✅ Does not consume much bandwidth, only uses low intensity in the background
✅ Supports PayPal withdrawals, fast processing
4. Disadvantages and Precautions#
⚠️ Does not support VPS or proxy IP addresses
⚠️ Earnings are affected by region and IP, may be lower in mainland China
⚠️ Users with lower upload bandwidth earn less (suitable for above 10Mbps upstream)
⚠️ Although traffic consumption is low, it may be deemed as "abnormal connection" by ISPs; some broadband users should be cautious
⚠️ One account per device, multiple accounts may lead to bans

6. Conclusion: Is it worth it?#
